Richard Prosser who drops Muslim word-bombs.
What can we say to NZFirst MP Richard Prosser (other than “Prosser, you’re a Tosser!”) and Winston?
Well first: we all make mistakes, be man enough to admit yours and apologize (genuinely). The comments Prosser made were racist, that’s “r-a-c-i-s-t.” Update: 15/2. Cam Slater at Whale has a good scoop here showing that the MP’s apology is totally disingenuous.
Secondly: to Winston, don’t try and obfuscate, distract, side-step, placate. If you do, we’ll just label NZFirst a “racist party” – you’ve had trouble with that in the past.
Calling for people who “look like muslims” from “Wogistan” not to fly on western airplanes or targeted for special screening while people who don’t look like muslims (like Timothy McVeigh and Anders Brevik?) should not, was just plain ignorant.
So, what can we say to Richard Prosser? Well how about some wisdom from a Muslim, who fought and killed Kiwis, Mustafa Ataturk…inscribed in stone on the Anzac memorial at Gallipoli…

The ignorance of racism (and Prosser’s statements) is their selectivity. Do his comments also apply to Anders Brevic, Timothy McVeigh and British rugby hooligans?

Winston Churchill was mainly a “Conservative” but also a “Liberal” MP between 1900-1964. A Member of Parliament for 64 years, he contested 21 parliamentary elections (for Oldham, Manchester North West, Dundee, and Epping/Woodford). Throughout his career Churchill stood for liberty. He believed in open debate and freedom of speech, and opposed any system or ideology that tried to dictate the way one should think. Churchill felt deeply that disagreements within the democratic system should not degenerate into personal animosities.

Prosser right, you wrong

So Prosser’s a tosser, news at 11 type moment ? You can pick on McVeigh and Breveik precisely because they stand out as just about the ONLY two mass murderers in a terrorist way in the past 15 years who aren’t identifiably Islamic. Richard Reid didn’t “look” islamic either did he, but nonetheless tried to blow up an airliner in flight for religious reasons, Presbyterian was he ?
What about the German race 1930-40s? Pol Pot and his Khymer Rouge? Russian communists early 20th C.? Mao Tse Tung and the Cultural Revolution? Rwanda? etc etc. We have to stop Muslim jihad, but it’s not a sole islamic preserve. Evil is cross-cultural.
One of Prosser’s columns a couple of years ago in the same magazine was about his visit to the UK and he praised the industrious and peaceful way the Hindu Indians have woven their way into British society.
Yes they have, like most muslims and white British rugby hooligans. Will Prosser ban the latter, too?
